How we choose what to list
The method, stated plainly — including the parts that are automated.
Selection starts with the device, not the product. For each model we identify which protector types actually suit it, based on the physical characteristics that matter: whether the display is flat or curved, whether there is an in-display fingerprint reader, whether it folds, and whether a stylus is part of how it gets used.
From there, products come directly from Amazon and are ordered by brand standing and how squarely the listing addresses that device, whether it names the exact model, whether it mentions the fingerprint reader on a phone that has one, whether it is cut for a curved edge. Where we cannot find protectors listed for a particular model, we send you to Amazon results for the right finish instead of pad the page out with options that do not fit.
We weight four things: whether the cutouts are cut for that exact model, whether an oleophobic coating is present, whether an alignment frame is included, and whether the listing addresses the device-specific problem, fingerprint compatibility, curve, folding crease.
We deliberately ignore the 9H hardness claim, which every tempered glass protector makes and which therefore distinguishes nothing. We also ignore "military grade" and similar unregulated marketing phrases, and drop-test videos, which follow no standard.
