Where it costs you
Cheap clamps release over potholes. Rigid motorcycle mounts risk camera damage. Most offer no weather protection.
What to check
For a motorbike, buy a mount with an explicit vibration damper and consider which camera you're risking. For a bicycle, the clamp mechanism matters most, anything that relies on a rubber band will eventually let go on a kerb.
