Slower and warmer than cable charging. Thick or metal-plated cases block it. Cheap pads run hot enough to shorten battery life.
What to check
Match the standard your phone supports: MagSafe for iPhone, Qi2 for recent Android. If your case is thicker than about 3mm or has a metal plate, charging will be weak or fail entirely — check the case before blaming the charger.
